Hon Oluwatosin Onamade in a bid to practically Advance the essence of the ‘Idle Hands Are The Devil’s Workshop Initiative’, Met with Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa (Chairman Ikorodu Resource Development Group).
The Meeting took place on the 9th of January 2021 at the Gbadamosi Conference Room in Ikorodu TownHall.
IDLE HANDS ARE THE DEVIL’S WORKSHOP INITIATIVE, Is an initiative Specially designed to Empower, Orientate & Scrutinize the Developmental phase of the Youth across Ikorodu Division and beyond. It was set in motion in 2020.
Stating his plights with the ongoing social vices in the communities across Ikorodu Division in recent times, Hon Oluwatosin Onamade asserted the need to set up the Initiative as a physical platform in the year 2021 and urged the chairman to support the progression of the Initiative.
“Some will say it is as a result of joblessness, others say it is lack of good governance, but at the end of the day our youths are going astray. The weekly and monthly reports of killings around our communities is getting out of hand and with an initiative like the Idle Hands Are The Devil’s Workshop, We Can play our own role to help Ikorodu Division” Hon Oluwatosin Onamade
The Chairman Of IDRDG in return applauded the Initiative for it’s online impact while recognising the reality of the Challenges stated by hon Oluwatosin Onamade in his opening assertion.
“From the Beginning I have always been a follower of this great Initiative when I first heard of it, And I have voluntarily offered myself to be a part of it Endeavour because I understand what it takes, And how it feels like Growing up in the middle of Notting and Becoming something in life” Alhaji Rotinwa

“The state of things in our region today is quite alarming and needs urgent attention from both the Government and Stakeholders like us. Everyone has a role to play in making our society safe for all, And if this Initiative is set up in full fledge, It will go a long way to solve alot of Challenges been faced by the government today” Alhaji Rotinwa Averred
In his follow up dissection, The Chairman gave a brilliant counsel on formulas to stretch the Initiative in order to stay reliant and relevant in providing solutions to societal issues.

The Initiative should be processed legally as a Non Government Organisation.
The Initiative Should Liaise with Both Government, Private and International Organisations to synergize Effective Deliveries of community projects.
The Initiative should also Have a branched liaison with the Security Institutions and platforms in order to combat internal security crisis.
The Initiative Should Organise empowernment programs, Both in trainings and job creation which should be cut across every Division.
The Initiative should Grant temporary TV interviews, Spotting out societal problems and providing adequate Solutions thereafter to help the government.
The Initiative should try to have an active partnership with the state local government service commission and also the Ministry Of youth and Sports, Because the Government has alot of way to align with the Initiative.
In closing the Chairman pledged his support towards the future endeavours of the Initiative stating that his door is always open to Guard and direct the leadership of the Initiative towards achieving it’s goals and objectives.
Hon Oluwatosin Onamade thanked the Chairman for his counsel and support in putting more light on the direction of the Initiative, adding that the year 2021 is not meant for talking alone but also to act.
