Bldr Sesan Daini Mayorkun the Executive chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA in Ikorodu was attributed with tremendous praise from The Governor of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the Commissioning of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA’s new Secretariat.
The 24th Of March will forever be Remembered by the Residents of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as the Executive Governor Of Lagos State accompanied by his deputy Dr Femi Hamzat Commissioned the New Secretariat of the LCDA in Ikorodu.
With 26 office space, 25 toilets, A hall that can accommodate 300 people, A Court Registry that is exquisite which would also generate alot of income, The Secretariat is not only about Offices & beauty but it’s also a means of generating good revenues.
Filled with Dignitaries across Ikorodu Division, The Secretariat played host to The Executive Governor Of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, His Deputy Dr Femi Hamzat, Members Of State Rank & Files, Traditional Leaders in Ikorodu Including the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Oba Orimadegun Kasali Adeboruwa Of Igbogbo Land, Oba Oluwakayode David Raji Balogun The Eweye of Isiu amongst many others. Olorunfunmi Basorun, Asipa Olusanya Kaoli, Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, Abiodun Ogunleye & Former Sen Seye Ogunlewe, Hon Babajimi Benson MHR (Representating Ikorodu Federal Constituency) Hon Saka Nurudeen Solaja (Representating Ikorodu Constituency 2 LSHA) Ms Bisola Ruth Olusanya (Lagos State commissioner for Agriculture), CP Lagos State Odumosu, Bldr Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Hon Ademehin Olajumoke Jimbo, Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan (D.G Lagos State Sports Commission), Alhaji Salisu Jimoh with other elders Statesmen where in attendance.

Recounting his strides, the Executive Chairman Of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA Bldr Sesan Daini Mayorkun stated that the Secretariat’s Accomplishment was two years in the making.
“I am pleased to have Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu Commission this legacy project which is the first local council fully funded project to be commissioned by the state Governor in Ikorodu Division since the creation of LCDAs in Lagos State in 2003, a testimony to the visionary initiative of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. And we must continue to appreciate the state government’s vision and support given to Local Council Development Areas to thrive as a fulcrum of
bringing development closer to the people” Bldr Sesan Daini
“The first structures on this site was an office
and a dispensary of the then Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council which was created in 1955 by Pa Chief Obafemi Awolowo as the Premier of Western Region”
“On assumption of office in 2017, the first request by members of staff at an interactive session, was for us to bequeath a befitting and conducive office building to drive efficient service delivery. This request was also in tandem with our electoral promise to the people and we are grateful to God that we could deliver an administrative complex made up of 26-room offices, conference room, multipurpose hall and marriage registry, among other state-of-the-art facilities”
“The completion of this edifice, in record time, marks a significant milestone in the
life of our administration and alluded to the well-established fact that Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State are well-prepared to take off as full-fledged and statutory Local Government Areas as soon as the necessary constitutional amendments/provisions are effected.
This building being commissioned is the result of an effort that has lasted 2years for which a lot of people played critical roles leading to the successful completion of the project. I would, therefore, like to use this opportunity to express the profound gratitude of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to the numerous contributors to the success we are celebrating” Bldr Sesan Daini Asserted

“Lastly I want to urge Mr. Governor to consider the establishment of a mini General Hospital in Igbogbo to cater for the secondary medical needs of the people that the overstretched Ikorodu General Hospital and the Primary Health Centres in the LCDA cannot adequately serve” Bldr Sesan Daini Added
In his Speech filled with amazement, the Governor of Lagos State (Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu) applauded the chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA Bldr Sesan Daini Mayorkun for his Positive drive and progressive style of leadership which is gradually transforming the LCDA positively in growth and development.
