President Muhammadu Buhari on the 24th of June redeems a promise to Tunisia 94 set of the Nigerian Super eagles by allocating 3-bedroom apartments to the squad.
According to the president (in his official statement) “I am pleased to announce that I have approved the allocation of 3-bedroom houses to the 1994 African Cup of Nations-winning Super Eagles Team (Tunisia 94)! Another historical promise fulfilled by our administration”
“These heroes did our nation proud, and the least we can do is honour the Federal Government’s promise to them”
“They will be allocated the houses in their States of preference” President Muhammadu Buhari Added
The team which is considered one of the greatest set of football exports Nigeria offered the soccer world consists of Daniel Amokachi, Jay-Jay Okocha, the late great Rashidi Yekini, Sunday Olise, Austin Eghwavon, Finidi George, Emmanuel Amunike, Peter Rufai amongst others.
