Converging at adeboruwa of Igbogbo’s palace on the 12th of October 2021 were organisers of the Igbogbo day celebration and business owners within Igbogbo bayieku LCDA for the official unveiling of its annual festival Ankara.

(Igbogbo, which is known as the Land of Cool beauty will host) the November crescendo event themed: Celebration of greatness, packaged by Igbogbo day planning committee under the auspice of Igbogbo development association (IDEA).

The unveiling event furthermore sought out better measures to carry out a successful celebration by displaying plans to integrate residential business owners into its sequence presided over by High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya (Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom).

According to the planning committee chairman (Mr Titilope Andu Balogun), the essence of integrating businesses into the event is to create a better economic oasis for growth and enhance transactions in Igbogbo community.

“This year’s celebration is unique in its own right and one thing we’ve observed is the absence of business owners in this event over the years. We felt the need to synergise with them this time around because business is the lifeline of the community”

Hon. Adeyemi Oshodi, the Public relations officer of the event intimated business owners on benefits they stand to leverage as participants of this year’s celebration.

“We’re having a special magazine that will be distributed across board for the celebration event, active business owners who get involved will stand the chance of getting their business displayed on the magazine”

“There is also going to be a special greet and meet with Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali (the adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom) for all business owners during the celebration period. These are some of the ways we’re spicing up this celebration to bring everyone up to speed with Igbogbo’s greatness” Hon Adeyemi Oshodi Added

Business owners at the palace for the unveiling event welcomed the idea, soliciting organisers to ensure more practitioners get involved for better promotion and at the same time ensuring adequate security is in place for the celebration period to be peaceful.

Odophin of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya speaking in the capacity of the adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom urged business owners in Igbogbo land to actively participate in the celebration event to foster togetherness and futuristic progress.

“When we come together to merry, our plight gets solution easily, our pains are accessible and our puzzle is solved. This year’s Igbogbo day celebration is creating a platform for all to work together after the festivity and press towards the better good of our land in diverse areas”

The official Ankara for 2021 Igbogbo day celebration was subsequently unveiled by the Odophin of Igbogbo kingdom alongside the organising committee and council of Baales present.
