On the 23rd of February 2022, lawmaker representing Igbogbo/ Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDA at the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Public Account Committee (PAC), Hon. Nurudeen Solaja-Saka, commissioned 12 boreholes in Ikorodu Constituency II, assuring Constituents of more project implementations as he criss-cross communities
The commissioning, which brought out Ikorodu division’s apex leaders including Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun (Governor Advisory Council member), Senator Seye Ogunlewe (Chairman, IDRDG), Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya and constituency 11 council bosses (Bldr Olusesan Daini Mayorkun, Prince Wasiu Kunle Agoro & Mrs Motunrayo Gbadegbo Alogba) was received with high compliment by dwellers of the neighbourhoods
Hon Saka Solaja, who has in the last six years, constructed and delivered more than 24 borehole projects across different communities in Ikorodu Constituency II, continued in the same trajectory, demonstrating his commitment to ensuring quick access to water, motivating his Constituents and simultaneously vowing to reach more communities with supplementary projects on poverty alleviation, education, health and road construction.
Lingering for an entire day, the project touched down Awolowo way-lgbogbo, llado-Baiyeku, lgbe and lbeshe (all in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA), llupeju Estate, Igbe Ogunro, Ebute Olowo, Igbopa London (all in ljede LCDA) and Ajegunle Street, Aje Street Itun-Opopo, and Oke-Agbo Community (all in Imota LCDA respectively)
Speaking exclusively with reporters (post borehole commissioning), Hon Saka Solaja disclosed that the water project’s execution is to fulfil part of his campaign promises for the provision of social amenities at the grassroots.
“The value of water is much more than its price, this project (as part of my administrative focus) is executed to ensure residents in my constituents gets adequate access to water, thereby ending water challenges in all the communities in Ikorodu Constituency II”
