Born on February 9, 1956, Late Mrs Nelson attended the Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode for her secondary education. She went on to study Nursing at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
Her political career could be said to have started in the 1980s when she became a member of the defunct National Republican Convention. In 1998, she contested the Ikeja Federal Constituency seat in the state’s House of Assembly.
Between 1999 and 2003, she worked in the administration of Tinubu as the Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
She was married to Adeyemi Nelson, a retired director in the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, She succumbed to cancer on Sunday, July 17th 2022.
