As the weather continues to descend rain in the 4th quarter of the year 2022, there is no doubt infrastructures must be closed mark to conserve cogency and sustainability.

Keeping tabs is never more crucial during this windy period about road usage and supervision, as consistent thrust subverts the aptitudes of the route length across the waterbed region.

Such is glimpsed in certain areas of the easy drive-through Owode-Ibeshe freeway in Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA, prompting its councillor to take action.

Specifically at Abuja bus stop, Hon. MKO Arowolo, councillor representing Owode-Ibeshe ward C4 mobilised workforce on the 20th of September to the low point of the road, financing a total upgrade of the pathway to make the road functional for commuters.

The road is the only path leading to the most populous ward in the local council development area with almost 185 CDAs.

Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. Arowolo explained the necessity to enforce the road improvement undertaking, citing the project to last for two weeks.

Arowolo proceeded, “If we allow the road to stay in this shape, it will cause a lot of problems for all of us in a short while, the more the rain, the deeper it gets as cars go through it, which is already posing a threat to our communities with accidents occurring gradually”.

“I choose to start the project with my resources to make the road motorable for all, believing God that as I continue to put it in good shape, I’ll get assistance from well-meaning individuals in this community to complete it thoroughly”.

“Hon. Jimi Benson has begun the inner road in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, I am doing this to complement his efforts and show an example that we will take good care of the road when completed”.

“As the councillor representing the ward, I can’t look away from the dwindling situation of the road which is becoming a death trap with 8 bad spots, millions of naira will go into the project from my pocket no doubt, but in all its for the safety of all” Arowolo added.
