Re-elected Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, is scaling up his unprecedented performance across the waterbed region of Lagos State.
Barely a week after his triumph at the polls, the National Lawgiver is making good his prior promise to execute road projects within his jurisdictions.
Rep. Benson, who days ago, commissioned the Paul Palmer street project in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, directed his work ethic to the Agbele community where he flagged off the reconstruction and upgrading of roads within the locale.
The cross-section neighbourhood, under Ikorodu local government Ward F, received the federal legislator with praises and excitement, with Apex Leaders; former deputy governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Alhaji Basorun Babatunde Rotinwa, Prince Kunle Aduborisa, women leaders, ward councillors, party members, youth leaders and other notable personality gracing the event.
More significantly, the undertaking was used by Rep. Benson to demonstrate the capacity of his administrative strength under the All Progressive Congress (APC) party umbrella.
Special guest at the flag-off, Mr Dayo Israel, the All Progressive Congress (APC) national youth leader, extolled the performance of Rep. Benson, inclining him to the effective governance provided by the APC party.
In his remarks, Dayo explained that it is feats of such, as the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ushered in at the State level, which has impacted various sectors and industries.
Dayo explained, “Ikorodu stands to gain more than what it has benefited from Governor Sanwo-Olu if he’s re-elected back to the Statehouse”.
He continued, “One cannot describe the development coming our way if we have our leaders at the federal, state and local government”.
“This is why we’re expecting nothing less than 200,000 votes this Saturday at the gubernatorial elections”.
“Lagos State must deliver a re-election victory to Governor Sanwo-Olu, allowing his excellent performance to continue in infrastructure and other areas” Dayo Israel added.
Citing Rep. Benson as a transformational administrator, the President of Oriwu Club, Prince Kunle Aduborisa said the All Progressive Congress (APC) embodies competent and impressive rulers, who are working in the interest of the waterbed region.
Aduborisa asserted that Ikorodu must double its efforts and see to it that what was accomplished at the presidential, Senatorial and house of representatives elections is superseded.
Subsequently, After lauding Rep. Benson for being the people’s kind of leader, Former deputy governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, in his short dialogue, urged youths to tilt their support towards the All Progressive Congress (APC) party this Saturday, asserting that they stand to gain more from the ruling party afterwards.
On his path, starting his speech with the flag-off road undertaking, Rep. Benson communicated his joy that the road is about to kick off construction.
Encouraging the people to be patient and cooperative, he said the project will be actualised in record time, as the people will witness more dividends of democracy.
Rep. Benson declared “the 1.5km Agbele road reconstruction and upgrading are to be completed in 3 months”.
His work speed declaration obtained a massive cheer from residents in the community as women began singing songs of praise to credit the federal statesman.
He quickly shifted his tone to politics, pleading with supporters to come out as canvassers and make a lasting impression on Saturday at the polls in favour of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party.
Rep. Benson encouraged the good people of Agbele to cast their vote for Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to gain a 2nd term in office.
He also urged the community to support Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, Lagos State House of Assembly, APC Ikorodu constituency 1 candidate on the 11th of march 2023.
As the project was flagged-off, an extensive drainage formation was been carried out simultaneously in the community to aid the street project.
Ifedapo Ojuru CDA, Agbele/Oke Ota-Ona community development committee and Amiko campaign group were among the factions that received Rep. Benson.
