PRINCE ABIODUN OGUNLEYE, WASIU ADESINA COMMISSIONS O’CLEAN EVENT CENTRE IN IKORODU LG SECRETARIAT ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

O’Clean Event Centre, a luxurious space seated at the upper section of the council secretariat in Ikorodu local government was officially activated on the 8th of May 2023.
With state-of-the-art furnishing, the centre is designed to host wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations, corporate events, state functions, and burial receptions, also serving as a conference centre and an arena for religious and other private activities.
The event foyer in its capacity will amass between 400 to 500 guests.
Speaking to guests in attendance at the official commissioning, Mr Akadri Babatunde Adeleke ‘Sayleke’, initiator of the project, explained that a wide variety of activities such as age and gender group meetings, retreats, Town hall meetings and more can also take place in the centre with 20% discount attached during its first year of operation.
He continued, “Our special features include a welcoming red-carpet reception, a special guest waiting room, caterers and catering space, and executive conveniences for male and female guests with a Constant power supply backed up with a standby power generating set”.
“There is availability Of spacious parking lot, Wi-Fi, and other complementing amenities to ensure the comfort of guests at each event”.
Conveying his gratitude, Mr Sayleke applauded the effective involvement of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, which he said made the project a reality.
Clarifying that the project was not just all about funding, but the thoughtful collective minds that structured the edifice.
“Let me also thank corporate bodies that aided in making this project a success, God bless you all” Mr Sayleke asserted
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina called the project a collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Elucidating its value, Adesina said the essence of the undertaking is to generate revenue for the council.
“This project was put into deliberation as part of our propensities to accumulate our earnings in the local government”.
“When my administration started, the council had a revenue base of 5 million naira, but today we’ve generated about 200 million naira”.
“Like this project, the council had successfully found ways to thrive without putting pressure on the good people in Ikorodu Local Government, and we’ll continue to do so” Adesina added
At the high point of the event, the new edifice was officially commissioned by the former deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, who commended the Local Government for constantly defining paths to growth.
Guests were later taken on an inspection tour around the structure by Mr Akadri Babatunde Adeleke.
Others in attendance include the Former Head of Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Basorun (Alhaji) Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, Iya Oloja General Of Ikorodu Division, Alhaja Taofikat Allison, Alhaji Waheed Owokorodu, Alhaji Ola4, Alhaji M. Gafaar, APC woman Leader in Ikorodu Division, Alhaja Rashidat among others.
APC Ikorodu Party Leaders, Ikorodu LG Executives, Ikorodu LG Supervisors, NULGE, and Representatives of the Arewa Community in Ikorodu were also in attendance.
