Bldr Sesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in his commitment to enhance education in Igbogbo presented 150 benches and chairs to the Methodist Primary School in Ibeshe.
The donation, dated 17th of October 2023, which took place despite inclement weather, denoted the dedication of the local council administration to enhance the educational experience of the students.
This gesture came just three weeks after Chairman Daini personally conducted a comprehensive needs assessment at the school.
The presentation was met with great enthusiasm and excitement from the school administration and the students, who will now benefit from these essential pieces of furniture to facilitate their educational endeavours.
In an exclusive interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. Okedina-maja Nuraini Abolaji, Vice Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, urged the educational system to continue supporting the present administration, highlighting the dividends of democracy that could be reaped through such initiatives.
Hon. MKO Arowolo, councillor representing Owode Ibeshe Ward C4, lauded the day as a blessing for the people of Ibeshe.
He also serves as the House Committee Chairman on Education and emphasized that this project underscores the LCDA’s commitment to improving the local educational system.
He encouraged the school to ensure the proper maintenance of the furniture provide, so that the government can allocate resources to other critical infrastructural developments within the communities.
Chairman Bldr Sesan Daini, on his path expressed that this aid fulfilled a promise he made to the school three weeks prior, emphasizing his determination to elevate educational standards in Igbogbo.
He stated, “After we gave the students a special welcome back to school support, we also conducted a need assessment and discovered their requirement for tables and chairs”.
“What we’ve presented today is approximately 150 tables and chairs to support 300 students.”
He assured that the LCDA is committed to doing more for the school, commending the school management for their dedication and emphasizing the importance of maintaining the materials provided.
Mrs. Ononeye Janet Idowu, the Head Teacher of Methodist Primary School Ibeshe, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Daini for his unwavering commitment to enhancing education.
She remarked that the students will now be able to learn in a more conducive environment, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on their educational journey.
