393o3m3m995064213840096094 Bldr Sesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in his commitment to enhance education in Igbogbo presented 150 benches and chairs to the Methodist Primary School in Ibeshe.
The donation, dated 17th of October 2023, which took place despite inclement weather, denoted the dedication of the local council administration to enhance the educational experience of the students.
This gesture came just three weeks after Chairman Daini personally conducted a comprehensive needs assessment at the school.
The presentation was met with great enthusiasm and excitement from the school administration and the students, who will now benefit from these essential pieces of furniture to facilitate their educational endeavours.
In an exclusive interview with Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. Okedina-maja Nuraini Abolaji, Vice Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, urged the educational system to continue supporting the present administration, highlighting the dividends of democracy that could be reaped through such initiatives.
Hon. MKO Arowolo, councillor representing Owode Ibeshe Ward C4, lauded the day as a blessing for the people of Ibeshe.

Based in Ibeshe, Mrs Solarin applauded Rep. Benson for standing credible to his promise of making the road motorable for commuters in Igbogbo Baiyeku community.
The finished work was inspected by Rep. Benson and his team on the 22nd of April 2023, with residents showering compliments on the re-elected Ikorodu House of Rep. member.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on the 23rd of April the retired civil servant, recounted that she had only encountered the national legislator on grounds of hearing about his numerous feats across the waterbed region.
"When he (Rep. Benson) pledged to intervene in the construction of Ajose road, I kept tabs on him from then".
"Anytime I meet him at public functions, I always give him a look of reminder on his promise to help us fix the road, which he became very accustomed to and on a certain occasion he replied and assured me that he'll get the road fixed". "And today, he has made true to his promise and installed Solar lights to give more value to the project" she explained with a giggle.
Expressing her appreciation to Rep. Benson, Mrs Solarin said that residents can now put their minds at rest in striding around town with the fulfilment of the road construction.
She continued, "Before now, one cannot count how many times our vehicles had been tolled out of the road due to wreckage caused by the bad roads, most especially when it rains".
"Potholes are too many to measure that even transporters can attest to the plights we encountered on this road".

494ok4memm3959806663923207803 Residents of Ajose community in Ibeshe of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA were filled with excitement as Ikorodu federal legislator, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, visited the town on the 22nd of April 2023.
Following the completion of the community road construction which was facilitated by Rep. Benson, the national lawgiver touched down on the area, accompanied by his constituency officials and members of his iCare foundation.
Received by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini, Councillor representing Owode-Ibeshe ward 4, Honourable Kolawole Arowolo, CDA exco members, town religious leaders and residents, Rep. Benson was lauded for bringing the dividend of democracy to the community, setting the tempo for improvement.
The road, which according to dwellers (who spoke to Ikorodu News Network {INN}) was completely awful for both vehicle owners and public transport users, has been tarred in a very short period by the national lawmaker.
In addition, streetlights were installed across the road stretch to give residents a sense of security during the nighttime.
"Jimi Benson has done well for us in the Ajose community" Says Mrs Ajayi, a business owner in Ajose neighbourhood.
"This road, during the rainy season, Okada riders mostly charge us N400 to get to our destination, but now that the road is repaired, we only pay N100".
She explained that pregnant women felt more pain striding around when the road was dilapidated, but thanked Rep. Benson for intervening with the road construction.
"It is someone like Jimi Benson that should become the Governor of Lagos State because he knows how to reach the grassroots," Mrs Ajayi said.
Another resident, Mr Benjamin Nwanchukwu expressed his satisfaction to Ikorodu News Network (INN) with the road construction, explaining that residents now move freely.
"Dwellers are now happy because more development is coming into Ajose community due to this new road we have presently". "The street light is so bright at night, reflecting a lovely sight, I pray that God will give Jimi Benson the strength to continue his good works" Mr Nwanchukwu added
The road network stretched from the beginning down Civil-Military route to the Oke-Ota axis in Ibeshe, with 3 in-1 Street lights installed. From Ajose community, Rep. Benson shifted with his team to the ongoing 1.5km Agbele road construction in Ikorodu Local Government Area.
The construction plans and implementation was set in action by the federal legislator prior to the gubernatorial elections.
Received by the community's CDA excos and councillor, the road work was analyzed to be 50% completed with drainages laid for a water bypass.
Hon. Buraimoh Oluwakemi, Councillor representing Agbele community, told Ikorodu News Network (INN) that Rep. Benson has also included the construction of Ogunleye Road in the project. Ogunleye Road is the outward street that leads to grammar school at Oke-Ota Ona Road. "Ascertaining that our federal representative will be coming for the project inspection today, the community came out to say thank you to Rep. Babajimi Benson for prioritising the growth of our thoroughfares, which will make life easy for us all," Hon. Buraimoh said.
Obtaining the Agbele project status, Rep. Benson with his team, drove to Erunwen community in Ikorodu North LCDA to also assess the ongoing construction project.
According to the construction engineer, the undertaking would be completed in a month.
Workers can be visibly seen on-ground laying and wrapping up tinges to the road project.
The community which is highly populated was considered eligible for construction by Rep. Benson due to its water-logging tendencies. Both Erunwen Road in Ikorodu North LCDA and Agbele Road in Ikorodu Local Government are simultaneously been worked on. Hon. Ameen Apanishile, Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA was among the community officials that received the federal lawmaker.
Rep. Benson later stated that he expects both roads to be completed on record time to ameliorate the agonies of inhabitants in the area, especially as the rainy season draws near.
"The completion of these roads will also improve their standards of living" Rep. Benson asserted. He later apologised to residents for any drawbacks the road constructions may have caused in the areas.

The information and public exposure program was set in motion by the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.
A gathering convened to create awareness on Environmental Impact, enlightening Ikorodu residents and Ibeshe Community on the proposed construction of the ESSLIBRA Barge Terminal.
Projected to saddle at Ibeshe axis of the division is the landing where containers and heavy trucks can be offloaded without detracting from the movements of the general public or community activities.
Speaking briefly at the program, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Dr Gaji Omobolanle, represented by Mrs F. Olapade, said the project was initiated by the Federal Government to the State, which prompted the need to alert stakeholders at the grassroot level.
Explaining further, She said that the program is positioned to draw the attention of neighbouring communities and its stakeholders to the eventual operational actions of the wharf.
"With this sensitisation, councils, stakeholders and traditional rulers would be able to coordinate their wards and give adequate information as regards the functions of the anchorage" "It also presents the numerous advantages and economic boosting tendencies of this project" she asserted
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu LG, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, who received the delegates warmly, appreciated the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his timely efforts and work standards.
Adesina equally seized the medium to congratulate the Governor on his 2nd term electoral victory at the just concluded gubernatorial elections.
The council boss, represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Lateef Afinni in his speech emphasized the benefits of the proposed project at Ibeshe community.
He further called the undertaking a great development that will project the community into the spotlight, not only in Ikorodu but all of Lagos State.
Similarly, a video documentary and presentation draft of the project, which was displayed on projector, demonstrated economic growth, security, revenue generation, employment and other several concessions that will be basked by the community of Ibeshe.
Other guests present at the event include; Mr Abayomi Abolaji, Mr Adeola Adesanya, Ikorodu CDC Chairman, Alh. Lookman Shonibare, San. Mrs Omotosho (representing Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA), Mr Tijani Wasiu (representing Ibeshe Community), San. Sola Amokunmosa and her team, Lagos State MoE/WR dept team and residents of Ikorodu/ Ibeshe communities.
