Former Lagos state commissioner for Agriculture and Ikorodu Apex Leader, Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, emphasized the pivotal role mothers play in shaping the futures of their children.
Speaking at the commissioning of a new 5-classroom block at Methodist Primary School, executed on the 9th of January 2024, by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini, Asipa Kaoli urged mothers to invest time in connecting, mentoring, and training their offspring.
“We should not allow the pursuit of financial gains to compromise the upbringing of our children,” asserted Asipa Kaoli, cautioning against prioritizing material pursuits over parental responsibilities.
He linked prevalent social vices to the influence of early childhood experiences, stressing the need for a concerted effort in nurturing well-rounded individuals.
While acknowledging the challenges fathers may face, Asipa Kaoli highlighted the transformative impact mothers can have on their children’s lives.
“My mother, though illiterate, profoundly influenced me through education, advice, and prayers,” he shared, emphasizing the power of maternal guidance in shaping character.
Capping his message, Asipa Kaoli said the enduring significance of familial bonds is key to fostering a healthier and more responsible society.
