Extending commendation, Pastor Adebayo Idowu, Head of the Ikorodu Local Government Christian Staffs, expressed gratitude and admiration for Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government.

The commendation came as a response to the foundation laying ceremony of the council’s inaugural church chapel, a historic event that unfolded on February 1, 2024.

Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Pastor Adebayo Idowu hailed Chairman Adesina as a heaven-sent figure to the people of Ikorodu.

He highlighted the significance of this milestone, emphasizing that the completion of the chapel would provide Christian faithfuls with a sacred space to seek the face of God during their working days.

In his praise for the chairman, Pastor Adebayo also acknowledged the pivotal role played by Mrs Abolanle Adesina, the wife of the Executive Chairman, in bringing the project to fruition.

Her support and contributions were crucial in making the dream of having a dedicated chapel within the council premises a reality.

The journey towards the chapel’s construction began with Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s announcement during the annual January prayer and Thanksgiving Service held at the council Secretariat hall.

This revelation set in motion a series of events that culminated in the foundation-laying ceremony, marking a significant step forward for the spiritual life of the local government.

“As the project unfolds, the Ikorodu Local Government Christian Staff look forward to the day when the chapel doors open, providing a sacred sanctuary for moments of prayer and reflection for the community’s Christian faithfuls” Pastor Adebayo said.
