Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, encourages residents to collaborate with contractors for the efficient completion of the Ganiyu Oduntan/Lamidi Agoro Street road construction in Igbogbo.

During the road construction’s flag-off ceremony, Dr Agbaje emphasized the importance of patience and collective effort, praising Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s dedication to community development.

He highlighted the state’s commitment to fully developing its interior regions, positioning them competitively with urban areas.

Commending the governor’s responsiveness, Dr Agbaje noted, “Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a listening governor, gave us the go-ahead to endorse this road for construction. His passion for residents across Lagos state is immeasurable, as demonstrated here today.”

Agbaje urged residents to be patient and collaborate with the contractors, appreciating the king for playing a fatherly role in attracting development to Igbogbo Kingdom.

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini, expressed gratitude for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s efforts in elevating the rural sector, foreseeing rapid tarred road development in the near future.

Daini explained, “It was a coincidence because I also picked this same road for our council to work on. But when I was told that the state government had picked the road, then I shifted our development works towards Igbe area.”

Pastor Oyedepo Taiwo, Chairman of the CDA, joyfully noted that the road construction measurements are considered not to affect residents’ homes.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, urged Governor Sanwo-Olu to maintain his good works and expedite all identified road construction projects.

In attendance were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, officials from the Engineering Department, Mr. Taiwo Orenuga (Chairman of APC party in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA), councillors, and other personalities, including CDA executives.
