Displaying community service, Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi orchestrated a transformative medical outreach event in Lowa area of Ikorodu on February 24, 2024.

The mobile clinic, largely commended by Lagosians during its launch in 2023 is aimed at bringing free healthcare closer to people via their proxy communities.

Notably, the outreach extended beyond medical services to include a food bank that has reached 11 local governments for medical assistance and 2 local governments for food distribution.

The event, hosted at the Late Ayangbure Royal Castle Of Mercy Lowa, drew a remarkable turnout, showcasing the collaborative efforts of Hon. Adeyemi Oshodi (Adosh), Mr. Odupitan Bolaji Abiola (CDA chairman Lowa), medical professionals, Community Development Associations (CDA’s), and dedicated volunteers.

In all, over 500 residents in the community benefited from the initiative.

Expressing sincere gratitude, Princess Oyefusi acknowledged the collective contributions of beneficiaries, CDA’s, doctors, and volunteers, emphasizing, “Organizing a program is one thing, but witnessing the community and beneficiaries turn out is another. I am not taking this for granted.”

She underscored the primary objective of the initiative, stressing the significance of “giving back to the community.”

Princess Oyefusi highlighted the shared responsibility for community development, asserting, “We are all responsible for our community. When we see people in need, we should all try to take care of them.”

While acknowledging the government’s role, she appealed to individuals to unite and support one another.

Encouraging beneficiaries to heed medical advice, she stated, “I appreciate everyone that came out to benefit from this, and I want them to take note of everything they gain here.”

Princess Oyefusi assured that future medical outreach programs would extend to other parts of Ikorodu.

Mr. Odupitan Bolaji, CDA chairman Lowa, expressed deep gratitude for Princess Islamiyat Oyefusi’s benevolence, recognizing the profound impact of the program on the community.

He urged recipients to value the provided resources, particularly given the critical need for food and medical services in the country.

In appreciation of the initiative, Mr. Olayide Afeez conveyed gratitude to Princess Islamiyat Oyefusi, stressing the importance of sustaining such projects for the community’s well-being.

Mr. Ibrahim Yinusa echoed this sentiment, urging sponsors not to halt these initiatives, as they offer a crucial opportunity for individuals to address health concerns proactively.

Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi’s medical outreach emerges as a beacon of hope, delivering essential healthcare and support to the residents of Lowa, while instilling a sense of communal responsibility and unity among the inhabitants.
