As Muslim faithful across Nigeria mark this year’s Eid-ul-Kabir celebration, the Lagos State Office of Rural Development has extended warm greetings and goodwill messages to all residents in rural communities across the state.
In a special message released on Friday, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, conveyed heartfelt wishes on behalf of the office, urging all residents to embrace the season’s values of reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope.
“Eid-ul-Kabir is a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope. Let us continue to support one another, foster peace in our communities, and uphold the spirit of giving,” Dr. Agbaje stated.
He further called on residents to leverage the season’s message of sacrifice and compassion to strengthen community ties and promote the collective advancement of rural development initiatives spearheaded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
“As we celebrate, may Allah’s blessings fill our homes with joy, and may our collective efforts further the progress of rural development in Lagos State,” he added.
The Office of Rural Development continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing infrastructure, promoting economic opportunities, and improving the quality of life in rural communities across Lagos. Dr. Agbaje reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to sustaining development gains and ensuring no community is left behind.
“On behalf of the entire Lagos State Office of Rural Development, we wish everyone a joyful, peaceful, and blessed Eid-ul-Kabir. Barka da Sallah!” the Special Adviser concluded.
As residents across Lagos State gather to celebrate with family and friends, the office’s message serves as a timely reminder of the values of unity, generosity, and shared progress that underpin the Eid-ul-Kabir festival.
