Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has been conferred with two prestigious awards at the 2025 Progressive Digital Media Summit held in Abuja, earning the titles of “Most Digitally Engaged Governor” and “South West Governor of the Year.”
The summit, which brought together leading voices in media, governance, and youth development under the umbrella of Nigeria’s progressive movement, was a celebration of innovation, transparency, and youth inclusion in governance.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s recognition is a testament to his administration’s consistent efforts in embracing digital tools to drive development, enhance communication, and ensure citizens’ engagement.
In his reaction to the honours, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed profound gratitude to the organizers, particularly the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for acknowledging his commitment to digital governance and regional development.
“At the 2025 Progressive Digital Media Summit in Abuja, I was honoured with two awards — Most Digitally Engaged Governor and South West Governor of the Year,” Sanwo-Olu shared.
“For me, these are a reminder that our push to make Lagos a 21st-century city is being noticed and valued.”
