
Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, who represents the Lagos East Senatorial District, alongside Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, on Saturday led a strong mobilisation effort during the presidential primaries in Ward A4, Ikorodu, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The exercise recorded a significant turnout of party faithful and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who gathered in large numbers to reaffirm backing for President Tinubu ahead of future party engagements.
Senator Abiru and Dr. Agbaje were both visibly present and actively involved in coordinating party members and ensuring smooth participation throughout the process.
Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, who represents the Lagos East Senatorial District, commended party members for their discipline, unity, and impressive turnout during the presidential primaries.
He described the exercise as peaceful and well-coordinated, noting that the large participation demonstrated the strong bond between the party leadership and grassroots members within Ikorodu and the wider Lagos East Senatorial District.
Senator Abiru urged party faithful to remain committed to unity and continuous mobilisation, stressing that sustained engagement at the grassroots remains key to strengthening the party’s structure ahead of future political activities.

He further praised coordinators and party officials for ensuring an orderly process, adding that the peaceful conduct of the exercise reflects the maturity and discipline of APC members in the area.
According to him, “The turnout we have witnessed today is a clear indication of the confidence our people have in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC”.
“We must continue to work together in unity to deepen this support and deliver more dividends of democracy to our people.”
Senator Abiru also encouraged supporters to remain focused on development-driven politics, noting that internal cohesion and consistent engagement remain vital to sustaining political progress in Lagos State and beyond.
Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, also commended party members in Ward A4, Ikorodu, for their orderly conduct and strong mobilisation during the exercise.
He described the turnout as a clear demonstration of unity and commitment within the party, noting that the large participation reflected the continued acceptance of the President’s leadership and policies across grassroots structures.
Dr. Agbaje urged party faithful to sustain their mobilisation efforts beyond the primaries, stressing the importance of cohesion and continuous engagement at the ward level to strengthen the party’s base in Lagos State and beyond.

He acknowledged the role of key stakeholders, including Senator Abiru, in fostering political stability and encouraging inclusive participation within the constituency.
According to him, “What we are witnessing here is a reaffirmation of trust in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The unity and enthusiasm displayed by party members in Ward A4 is commendable and should be sustained.”
