“GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU CONTINUES TO PRIORITISE THE WELFARE OF PUBLIC SERVANTS” — DR AGBAJE ~ INN Nigeria ☆

The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of public servants and their families with the presentation of insurance benefits to beneficiaries of deceased staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Local Government Councils.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, said the initiative reflects Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s steadfast dedication to the wellbeing of government workers and the fulfilment of obligations owed to them and their families.

Dr. Agbaje commended the Governor for consistently placing the welfare of public servants at the forefront of his administration’s agenda, noting that the payment of insurance benefits provides critical support to families coping with the loss of their loved ones.

According to the Special Adviser, the Lagos State Government has, over the years, maintained a strong record of honouring insurance commitments to beneficiaries of deceased SUBEB and Local Government employees across the state.

He explained that the intervention has continued to ease the financial burden on bereaved families and offer a measure of stability during difficult times.

He also acknowledged the contributions of LASACO Assurance Plc and Haggai Insurance Brokers Limited for their continued partnership and dedication to ensuring that beneficiaries have timely access to their entitlements.

While expressing sympathy to the families of the deceased workers, Dr. Agbaje prayed for strength, comfort and divine support for those left behind. He urged the beneficiaries to make prudent use of the benefits, particularly in supporting the education, welfare and future of the dependants of the deceased.

The Special Adviser further charged Desk Officers involved in the processing of insurance claims to remain diligent and professional in carrying out their responsibilities.

He stressed the need for thorough verification and prompt processing of all relevant documentation to facilitate seamless disbursement of benefits.
