SANWO-OLU LAUDED AS LAGOS GOVERNMENT COMPLETES WATER SCHEME, TOILET FACILITY AT IJEDE SCHOOL ~ INN Nigeria ☆

IJEDE, LAGOS – The Head of the Parents and Teachers Forum (PTF) of Anglican Primary School, Ijede, Mrs. Bose Peters, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for the installation of a water scheme in the school to support a newly constructed four-unit toilet facility provided by the Lagos State Government through the Office of Rural Development.

Mrs. Peters gave the commendation on the 15th of June 2026, describing the intervention as a significant step toward improving hygiene, sanitation, and the overall learning environment for pupils of the school.

She expressed appreciation to the state government for prioritizing the welfare of students in rural communities and ensuring that critical infrastructure is provided in public schools.

The PTF leader also praised the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, for his commitment to the successful execution of the project, noting that the water scheme and toilet facility were completed within a record time.

According to her, the project demonstrates the government’s dedication to creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning while addressing essential sanitation needs in schools.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Dr. Agbaje explained that the water scheme project was deliberately designed to complement the newly constructed toilet units, ensuring their effective functionality and sustainability.

He noted that the intervention aligns with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to promoting healthy living conditions in schools, particularly in rural communities.

“The water scheme project complementing the toilet facility is meant to create a healthy environment for the students of this school.”

“Good sanitation and access to clean water are essential to the well-being, health, and academic success of our children,” he said.

Dr. Agbaje reiterated the Sanwo-Olu administration’s resolve to continue delivering impactful developmental projects across rural communities in Lagos State, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, water supply, and sanitation.

The project is expected to enhance hygiene standards at Anglican Primary School, Ijede, while providing pupils and staff with improved access to sanitation facilities and clean water.
