The Youth Fellowship of the United African Methodist Church Cathedral, Igbogbo orchestrated its Eminence Award and Dinner Night on the 8th of January 2022

Aimed at Celebrating the legacy of charitable giving, fervent stewardship and exceptional leadership qualities, the occasion was brandished at the De-Shokis event hall in Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA delighting distinguished personalities within the sacred halo

Constructing a live discourse on ecclesiastical topics and persuading intellectual question and answer symposium to compliment it course, the spectacle also showcased drama sessions and dance presentations from its competent youngsters and adolescence cape, mesmerizing all guests in attendance

A special thanksgiving of prayer, worship, praise and sermon to God was the order of the day at Ikorodu local government secretariat on the 6th of January 2022, as staff and executive members filled its hall to the brim, expressing gratitude for the new year.

Hosted by the council boss (Hon Wasiu Adesina), the programme featured clergy homilies, songs of honour and adoration plus invocations led by Islamic and Christian clerics in Ikorodu local government

According to the chairman, “Putting God first in all that we do renders scheduling and project execution susceptible. We’re alive today solely because God has preserved us”

“It is right we commence-up this year by offering thanks to God for all he has performed, so he will finalize what he has launched with us” Hon Wasiu Adesina broadened

The programme was afterward charged by both religious clerics present at its high junctures

“Almighty Allah who has carried you and I safe and acceptable into 2022 will strengthen and lead us into 2023 as we proceed to thank him for preservation and provision”

“We should moreover not shirk to always beseech for our gracious council chairman and administrators, who he has positioned above us to project expansion and growth to Ikorodu local government” Imam Orilobamishe

In his liturgy, pastorate Olufemi Gilbert urged council members, “There is nothing we can give to God to show our level of gratitude aside Thanksgiving. The need to thank God is necessary to replenish his blessings and manifest his favour once again”

“My prophetic memo is for everyone to assign their mastery and God bestowed abilities to work. Don’t sit down doing trifle at your administrative hierarchy, there is a deposited reserve in your life that must succeed to existence in 2022”

“Study the vitality of an eagle in statute for you to realise your true price and influence your realm” Pst Olufemi Gilbert asserted

In her remarks, Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba (Vice-Chairman Ikorodu Local Government) acknowledged the council boss for spiritually setting the new year pace, urging staff to follow suit to ascertain success

“The chairman has said it all, it’s just a privileged for me to give these closing remarks, so I am going to congratulate everyone ahead of our successes this year”

“Just like our pastor and Imam has rightfully said, we have given thanks to God, so we should be fully prepared for the blessings attached to it as we commit in our respective department to deliver our duties”

“We must stay diligent and always live up to expectations like I always say, it will all end in praise” Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Added

On the 6th of January 2022 will remain unforgettable in Ikorodu division, filled with pop, style and class of royalty at the palace of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu kingdom (Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V)

Ikorodu born, American based Otunba Steve Adewale Anifowose and beautiful wife (Mrs Funmi Anifowose) officially fitted the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ikorodu kingdom

The conferment and Iwuye ceremony displayed Omoobas, Honourary Chiefs, Family and Friends of the New Chiefs, Ayangburen-in-council, Government Functionaries, Obas, His Royal Majesty’s from across Ikorodu division and of course its chief host, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen (Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom) and his wife Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi

Amidst a long catalogue of A-list personalities, the event attracted noble individuals, respected characters, successful professionals with men and women of integrity within and outside Ikorodu division

In his remarks before the installation, the Ayangburen states, “I have observed Otunba Anifowose over some time and am ascertained that he maintains the qualities and characteristic required to function effectively as a Chief of this Kingdom”

“Ikorodu kingdom is rapidly developing as a metropolitan urban city which attracts people of diverse backgrounds and cultural identities both in Nigeria and overseas. A golden fish, they say has no hiding place. Otunba Anifowose’s passion to build and develop a successful chain of businesses in the United States of America, his charming personality, humility, generosity and philanthropic gestures strut him clear and right to take the title”

“In addition, his vision and passion for the development of our local economy, enhancement of our cultural heritage, and burning desire to lead efforts to integrate
Ikorodu Kingdom with the Lagos State Government vision for a Greater Lagos is another conviction”

“It is, therefore, my delight that I, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, Ayangbure of Ikorodu confer on Otunba Steve Adewale Anifowose and his wife the title of Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Ikorodu kingdom” The Paramount ruler declared

“(Asiwaju of Ikorodu Kingdom) an iconic title consider as first among equals was formerly held by late Chief Babatunde Olusola Benson (SAN), who provided leadership for the Honorary Council of Chiefs and acted as Chief Adviser to the Ayangburen of Ikorodu since 2008” explained by Chief Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, who highlighted the duties to the new Asiwaju of Ikorodu post conferment

The rite also featured Prayer by the Apena of Ikorodu Kingdom, Caping of the new Chiefs and Royal Blessings by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale. Citation of the new Chiefs and Presentation of Certificates

Otunba Steve Anifowose, the new Asiwaju of Ikorodu Kingdom is an experienced Apothecary from Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy and Xavia University of Louisiana, College of Pharmacy, New Orleans, Louisiana both in the USA. He is a competent businessman and a Scion of the Lasunwon Royal Family of Ikorodu

Received positively by the management of IGH, the club made its presence felt by extending its kind gesture to children across the delivery wards

Award-winning Knights Club of Ikorodu on the 1st of January 2022 joined a plethora of notable personalities and bodies in splashing cash assistance to first babies at Ikorodu general infirmaries

Excellently led by its president (Oluwaseyi Adelabu) in synergy with Miss Oyeniran Hannah (winner, Miss Ikorodu Oga beauty pageant show 2021/2022), the fraternity forked out cash across all 16 children in the delivery ward of IGH

According to Knights Oluwaseyi A. Adelabu (club’s president), the league is a social humanitarian association with an agenda to whiff lives by benefiting the orphanage cottages, visiting hospitals and organising empowerment activities across Ikorodu division

Kt. Adelabu progressed, “Last year, Miss Ikorodu Oga emerged on the platform of the Knights club, afterwards we deemed it fit to engage on successive sponsorship projects together, one of those projects is to visit Ikorodu general hospital and aid 2022 newborn babies with the queen, which we have done today”

“Going forward after this presentation, we’re organising an outstanding quiz competition for primary schools, visitation to less privileged cabins and implementing community projects are also on the pipelines to be done one after the supplementary this year”
