38i3j3j7E22380923390054533612 Like Otunba Amid Oduborisa, president of Oriwu Club said, "Put your money where your mouth is", the 50th anniversary of Oriwu Club Ikorodu came to its climax on Saturday the 16th of September 2023, as the club takes community growth to a whole new level.
In the early hours of the day, the club officially unsealed its legacy project, consisting of a block of reception, ward and doctor's consultation room at Ikorodu General Hospital Agbala Annex.
Commissioned by HRM, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, the project obtained high praises from stakeholders across Ikorodu division, with the club's president, Otunba Amid Adekunle Oduborisa sitting in the front row of the accolades.
According to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, the health project falls into the category of efforts that will stand the test of time, because it is meant to save lives.
"There is a reason Amid Oduborisa became the president of Oriwu Club Ikorodu at this duration, this project justifies that he's the perfect leader to preside over the club during this 50th anniversary".
"Agbala Health Centre is the first in Ikorodu and everyone knows the role it plays, for Oriwu club to build this edifice to give the health structure new relevance shows what the club stands for".
"I want to appreciate Oriwu Club Ikorodu for actualising this project, I pray God will continue to supply the club to do more" Oba Shotobi said.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Otunba Amid Adekunle Oduborisa disclosed that the legacy project (General Hospital Ikorodu, Agbala Annex) building consists of a block of reception, wards and Doctors' Consulting Rooms.
According to him, the Legacy Project, with a reconstruction cost of over Thirty Million Naira (N3OM), will improve access to quality and affordable healthcare services for the people of Ikorodu.
He continued, "To meet the basic functional requirements, the hospital building demanded (from Oriwu Club Ikorodu) an estimated amount of Twenty Million Naira (N20M) for furniture and medical equipment.
"I want to salute my ever-resourceful team for their doggedness, teamwork, and industrious efforts towards promoting the good face of this club and its members".
"My special recognition also goes to the 50th Anniversary Committee for its dedication to duties in organising these anniversary events" Oduborisa asserted.

The project which is evaluated as the largest church edifice in the world was glimpsed by congregation members in all 4 services, ascertaining the present state of the iconic undertaking.
According to Oyedepo, the mission towers is now on its 7th floor and no offerings, loans or sponsor has ever been called to support the project ever since it commenced on march 26th 2021.
The site axis which formally served as Faith Academy (Secondary School) was cleared from the Ark grounds and relocated near Covenant University at a reported cost of N4 Billion ($8 Million).
He continued, "We are entering the Ark with 2 Services, This small place (Faith Tabernacle with 50,000 capacity) will be the overflow".
"It is the Largest Church Building/Structure in the world with the largest roof span. Basement for 330 cars completed and convertible to 44,000 seats as desired".
"The Mission Towers now on 7th Floor is targeted to contain a total of 12 Floors with 1,200 toilets (Faith Tabernacle has 240 Toilets) Travel time to Toilet and back to the seat is 7 minutes". "20,000 capacity children church, 109,000 capacity auditorium, 88 vormitories, Vertical transportation: 129 Travelators, elevators and escalators".
"The only period contractors stopped working was to attend Shiloh 2021, The zeal of the Lord shall perform this!" Oyedepo asserted Faith Tabernacle was the largest Church auditorium in the world from 1999-2015.

Initially headed by former Chairman, Lagos state local government service commission, Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rontinwa, the group is presently spearheaded by former Minister Of works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe sitting as its chairman
Although the assignment of the immediate past chairman has elapsed, Alhaji Rotinwa brought to light a legacy project which was executed by the group under his administration on the 8th of January 2022
A 12unit toilet system was commissioned by Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa at Ikorodu ultra-modern town hall, projected to add more value and standard to the landmark edifice in Ikorodu division
Sectioned for both males and females, the new toilet facility is a state of the art restroom uniquely designed to meet the taste of stakeholders as well as eminent personalities visiting the event built structure
According to Alhaji Rotinwa, Alot of people had no idea the facility is currently up and running, it only became obvious during the launching of Ikorodu division peace initiative ceremony, which brought the attention of Ikorodu's finest to the newly structured easing point
Alhaji Rotinwa Continued, "When guests who attended the event were directed to the new toilet system, they were very surprised but also excited to notice that our ultra-modern town hall now has an additional restroom to reduce the congestion of the old section"
"The difference is, the former system can now be segmented for regular users, while the new one is specially maintained for VIPs. We believe by executing that project, it will help to increase the value and standard of our services"
"My tenure was very challenging due to the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, but I must say that all things have been equal, as part of all the projects we were able to accomplish, signing out with this modern restroom will keep my administration in the tale over time" Alhaji Rotinwa asserted
