WHY LAWMAKERS-ELECT ENDORSED OBASA, DECLARES NO CONTROVERSY ABOUT LAGOS SPEAKERSHIP – TEMITOPE ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

img 20230525 wa0005383302474370176619 Thirty-nine lawmakers-elect of the Lagos State House of Assembly are supporting Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for the leadership of the 10th Assembly, a member of the House, Hon. Adewale Temitope, has said.
Adewale, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, said the endorsement of Obasa followed a resolution reached by the lawmakers-elect to have the Speaker continue with “the good work he started in 2015 and sustained in the ninth Assembly."
Speaking in an interview session with some journalists in Lagos on Thursday, Adewale said the State was fortunate to have Obasa adding that the latter had succeeded in changing the face of legislative practice in Nigeria.
“We now have a Lagos Assembly that other states visit to learn from. We have bills that have been studied by the National Assembly. We have laws that have shaped our State in favour of the people.
“Through his leadership style, lawmakers are now, more than before, closer to their constituents because we see him living amid his people in Agege and making sure he reaches out to every individual that seeks his attention.
“Lagos cannot afford not to have him as Speaker if the fortunes of true governance enjoyed by the State must be sustained.
"Obasa is a stabiliser and has sustained the peace and unity in the House. He is a very accommodating leader who is ready to learn and relearn,” he said.
The lawmaker further noted that under Obasa’s leadership, the House now has the highest number of non-executive-sponsored bills which have helped secure the State and created employment.
“Obasa has defended so well the legislative arm of government. Today, we have one of the best Houses of Assembly in Nigeria because we have practised all that the others are just asking for. He has moved the House from where it was before to be above the common standards of excellence.
“I can tell you there is nobody who will challenge him successfully. If you are talking about loyalty, he is very loyal to the party, he is loyal to the elders of Lagos and loyal to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Above all, he continues to uphold the tenets of democracy.
“This is a man who has practised everything you call legislature and he has been impacting knowledge in every one of us. Moreover, we are going into the 10th Assembly with a House that has many new members.
“As a result of this, he has more jobs to do. He needs to train a lot of people so that the tenets of the legislature and the institution can continue to stand alone in the face of separation of powers,” Adewale added.

AYETORO CDA: DR ODOJI RECEIVES MATRONSHIP APPOINTMENT LETTER, PRAISE OTUNBA KAJERO’S LEADERSHIP ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

oonnnm8108196981063122873 The chairman of Ayetoro CDA, Otunba Olusesan Kajero accompanied by former Ayetoro CDA chairman, Engr. Adeleke Adebule and the secretary of the CDA, Mr Rasak Ajiboye presented a special appointment letter of matronship to the MD/CEO of ESSO Hospital, Dr (Mrs) Odoji Augusta Edoghogho.
Dr. Odoji received the CDA executives at her medical centre on the 28th of September 2023.
Prior to the presentation, the chairman of the CDA, Otunba (Lion) C.O Kajero said Dr. Odoji is well recognised for her numerous contributions to the service of humanity and community development.
Citing her as a force to reckon with in Ayetoro community, Otunba Kajero explained that it is only right for the CDA to honour her as the official Matron of Ayetoro Community Development Association.
"In presenting this letter to our distinguished Dr. Augusta Odoji, we are equally extending our collaborative gesture to her for the development of our community, which is meant to complement the effort of the government.
"She has supported many communities to achieve their growth efforts, that's why we also looking forward to her support in helping us to achieve our goals". "As we function together, it will be a form of refinement, motivation and enhancement of our community in various ways" Otunba Kajero added
Receiving the appointment letter in excitement, Dr. Odoji promised her unwavering support to the new CDA excos, asserting her enthusiasm to team with the association at strategic footings.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Dr. Odoji said her readiness to work with the CDA was demonstrated during the inauguration of the excos, where she performed the official foundation laying for the CDA's new secretariat.
Underscoring key functions highlighted by Otunba Kajero, she expressed her intent to synergize with the CDA for them to fulfil their 2-year developmental agenda for Ayetoro community.
She continued, "It captured my attention hearing Otunba Kajero talking about using the CDA to empower the youths in our community in the aspect of creating job opportunities".
"Even with the CDA's plan to improve the security architecture of our community, I am delighted about their agenda which by the special grace of God, we'll collaborate to accomplish their goals". "On the health side of things, that is my specialty".
"We're working on ways to partner with the Lagos State Government to provide affordable healthcare for residents in this community".
Dr. Odoji further stated that by working together with the CDA, residents will be sensitised on areas they have less knowledge of accessing good healthcare.
"Not forgetting other attractive activities such as carnivals and quiz programs for students, am looking forward to a fruitful collaboration" Dr. Odoji asserted

WORLD TOURISM DAY: OSHODI ARTS GALLERY HONOURS AYANGBURE OF IKORODU KINGDOM ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Screenshot 20230928 065937 As the globe marks World Tourism Day, Oshodi Arts Gallery, in grand style celebrated its almost 3years of involvement in promoting Art, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
The elegant ceremony dated 27th of September 2023, attracted students from schools within the waterbed region, Tourism experts in Lagos, the Nigerian Society of Art stakeholders and other special guests.
The paramount ruler of Ikorodu division, Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi was ably represented by Ayangbure-in-council.
Waxing stronger in the sector, Oshodi Arts Gallery used the day to depict its definition of culture, an exhibition of local cuisines, and engage guests in various activities that the gallery has to offer.
Welcoming the guests, Dr Oshodi Seyi Paul, CEO of Oshodi Arts Gallery describe World Tourism Day as a wonderful way to explore and appreciate the beauty and diversity of our world.
Detailing his humbling beginning as an Art Lover, he said that Tourism refers to the activity of travelling to different places for leisure, recreation, cultural exploration, or business purposes.
"Tourism plays a significant role in promoting economic growth, cultural exchange, and understanding between different communities and countries".
"As we press towards becoming a powerhouse in this industry, it is only right we join the rest of the world to celebrate Tourism and advocate its essence to our immediate society".
"Today, we're almost amassing 18,000 artworks because we have continuous quests to uncover the unique world of creativity, but our adventure only reflects Tourism and its fruits".
"It is also important to use this occasion to inform our young ones to witness the value our tradition has within the corridor of tourism, and we must ensure to preserve them" Dr Oshodi asserted
Other speakers like Dr Kehinde Adepegba from the Lagos State University of Sciences and Technology (LASUSTECH) engage the guests on the connection between Arts and Tourism.
Dr Adepegba delivered an engaging speech that emphasised the significant relationship between arts and tourism, shedding light on how art can enhance and promote tourism experiences.
Furthermore, Veteran Journalist, Mr Ben Olomokor, had an engaging discussion with the students about tourism in Nigeria. He passionately encouraged them to preserve the Nigerian culture and traditions as valuable assets, highlighting the significance of the Nigerian heritage in the tourism industry.
Both guests and students in attendance were treated to a special art exhibition tour inside the gallery, perusing the dynamic art collections the museum contains.
On the special attraction, the Oshodi Arts Gallery dance troupe showcased a series of cultural dance presentations. Their performances were mesmerizing and added a vibrant touch to the celebration, which was in all a delightful experience for all the guests in attendance
The high point of the event was the presentation of a beautifully painted portrait of the paramount ruler of Ikorodu division, HRM, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi to his Ayangbure-in-council.
The Kings delegates praised Oshodi Art Gallery for adding value and uniqueness to the region's cultural endowments
