Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has said. Dr Obasa said this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, congratulating Tinubu who clocked 71 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. The Speaker said Tinubu, a puzzle too hard to crack', equates with great men around the world whose stories show great passion and undying love for their countries and citizens. According to him, the recent presidential election won by Asiwaju Tinubu is icing on the cake for the President-elect, who has never shied away from being of service to God and humanity. The Speaker recalled the sacrifice Tinubu made to take Nigeria back from the military and entrench democracy in the country, noting how difficult it is to find individuals with such a level of patriotism. "For a man, whose thought at all times is about salvaging the country from economic and social bondage, victory at the recent polls came at the right time. "There is no way Nigeria's political story can be written without Asiwaju featuring prominently as a result of the positive roles he played before the current democratic dispensation and up till this moment. "We believe that Almighty Allah has a reason for giving him to us in Nigeria, especially at this time of the nation's journey. We do not doubt his capacity to deliver. He has done it before. IKODIV 2023: 2ND EDITION OF IKORODU TRADE FAIR INTEGRATES MORE BUSINESSES, CREATES PEOPLE-ORIENTED TRANSACTIONS ®™√ INN Nigeria © 393ok3kekemm2540913322324610780 The business stimulative nature of the 2nd edition of Ikorodu Trade Fair also known as IKODIV has spurred the Lagos State Governor, Mr Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu to reaffirm his aim at providing a conducive environment and enabling business growth in the State. A collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, and the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, the Ikorodu Division Expo is organised by the Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Held at the LASUSTECH campus, It is organised to energise small-scale enterprises, recognising their key potential to an inclusive and sustainable recovery for economic development. The official opening of the trade fair peaked on Monday, 27th of March 2023, with likes of royal personalities; HRM, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM, Oba Abdul-Semiu Oyebo, Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, HRM, Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, HRM, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade-Agoro, Ranodu of Imota and HRM, Oba (Engr) Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, the Sekumade of Ipakodo were all in attendance. Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. (Mrs.) Lola Akande at the opening ceremony, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Adetutu Ososanya, affirmed that the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu is intentional about implementing programmes and projects meant to support businesses in the State. She explained that projects like the Lekki Deep Sea Port in Ibeju Lekki; Lagos Rice Mill in Imota, here in Ikorodu; 18.75km Eleko-Epe six-lane rigid pavement expressway; the first phase of the 13 kilometres Lagos Blue Light Rail and others are all meant to enhance the State economy business scale. "Without doubt, these projects are already impacting labour and many enterprises positively in different parts of the State". "Ultimately, MSMEs will form the greater percentage of beneficiaries as they work towards the sustainable recovery for economic development" Mrs Akande added. Over 100 product exhibitors enlisted for the trade extravaganza, showcasing their unique products and services. The President, of Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Chief Kayode Shoderu expressed his delight in the organisation of the Expo, which he described as part of the commitment to building sustainable MSMEs. According to Chief Shoderu, reiterating his earlier statement at the press conference before the launch, the Trade Fair (IKODIV) gives a platform to showcase products and services while exploring opportunities for growth and innovation. The Keynote Speaker and Lagos State Chairman, of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Dr Adams Adebayo emphasised the need to support MSMEs as they are the backbone of every economy. Dr Adams eliminated that the challenges confronting the MSMEs varied and include access to low-interest loans, inadequate infrastructure, subsistence and manual production, mindset and lack of innovative ideas. He continued, "Relevant institutions must create access to low-interest funds for entrepreneurs to access while there is a need for MSMEs to scale up their production to meet local and export needs". "I also want to advise the Government to create a three-year pre-retirement entrepreneurship/investment window to transform public servants into entrepreneurs", he stated. In his brief address, the Vice-Chancellor, of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya averred that the Trade Fair is an opportunity to grow the economy of the Ikorodu Division. Prof. Odusanya explained that focusing on the MSME sector can transform even the nation's economy and lift people out of poverty. "It is a time to market, sell and exchange goods and services", he said.

In a sermon given to Muslim faithfuls on Wednesday, 29th of March 2023, marking the 71st birthday of Bola Tinubu, the chief Imam exhorted Nigerians to pray for the President-Elect, for Allah to bestow on him the ample disposition to oversee the nation. The liturgy was delivered after a special prayer and Thanksgiving session were held in the mosque dedicating Tinubu's birthday. Sheikh Ashaola, in his words, "Tinubu is the epitome of Intellectual capacity, a human resource developer and an economic stimulant, equipped for this time to rescue the shattered dreams of Nigerians". Urging the Muslim communities to put him (Tinubu) in their devotions at all times, the chief Imam said he can see the special work of Allah in the life of the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Underscoring another reason for brethren to beseech for Tinubu, Sheikh Ashaola said winning the 2023 presidential election has hoisted Bola Tinubu into a stature that even some well-respected political figures didn't attain. He explained, "The Late Obafemi Awolowo was considered the best President we never had. He was the head of the Yorubas, but he never permeated the North and East". "Today, Asiwaju has accomplished that!". "He's the most successful politician in Nigeria as we speak". "Asiwaju also suffered for the Democracy we enjoy today, he was tortured and humiliated, but his sense of focus and divine direction kept him moving to where he is now" Sheikh Ashaola added Crediting Tinubu's intellectual strength, Sheikh Ashaola asserted that the President-Elect is known to assemble the best brains to achieve sufficient results, narrating that he exemplified the same act during his first 6 months in office as Governor of Lagos State back in 1999. Subsequently, lecturing attendees, Imam Ojifinni Abdul-Ganiu, the Mufasir of Ramadan 1444/23 in Ikorodu, illustrated that it takes an extraordinary leader to discard his birthday celebration to engage more in service to humanity. Imam Ojifinni stated that the Yoruba population should emulate Bola Tinubu's life ethics, and ensure to give his incoming administration the peace it deserves. "No Yoruba group or body should be brainwashed or influenced to cause havoc on Asiwaju's presidential tenure, because the truth is, his effective performance at Aso Rock will open more doors to Yoruba leaders in the future, given them opportunities to also become president". "We must be careful not to allow people to use us to generate chaos and anarchy towards Asiwaju's tenure, it is the only way we can show him our profound support" Imam Ojifinni asserted On the backdrop of his 71st birthday, President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed that special prayers and thanksgiving service be held on March 29, 2023, instead of his annual birthday colloquium. The special prayers were also held in Lagos and other parts of the country, simultaneously.
