RE-AFFIRMATION OF THE ‘WE’ MANTRA: AN ACTION PLAN & DEVELOPMENT AGENDA FOR THE YOUTHS IN IMOTA LCDA ~ INN Nigeria

As the third Executive of the National Youth Council Nigeria, IMOTA Local Council Development Area Branch, Today’s program will forever remain Significant in the historical development of National Youth Council Nigeria as we mark our 99 days in office which implies that Tomorow Sunday 6th of September 2020 we will be giving our stewardship account of our 100 days in Office.

That was part of the opening speech given by Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal (Coordinator NYCN IMOTA branch Ikorodu) As the council organizes a Leadership Summit with the theme YOUTH ENGAGEMENT FOR GLOBAL IMPACT, At The ADMOS HOTEL & SUITE EVENT CENTRE IMOTA, IKORODU, LAGOS STATE.

With dignitaries from within and outside IMOTA LCDA gracing the program, The Branch was poised on using the platform to Reaffirm the ‘WE’ MANTRA: An Action Plan & Development Agenda for the youths in IMOTA LCDA IKORODU.

it was further stated by the Coordinator that the current administration of the NYCN is determined to run an accountable Administration, Which will be committed to listening to all suggestions and observations in order to move the community forward at a greater pace.

Dr Sulaimon Muse a guest speaker at the program enlightened the members and Participants present about Leadership, Governance & Youth in Post Covid-19 in Nigeria.

Our Young ones must begin to take the bull by the horns and step up in order to get things done in our communities. If we take a look at the executive members of this NYCN in IMOTA you can tell that none of them is up to 40 years old. Looking at how well they’re able to organise this program reflects the need for us to always give our younger generation the opportunities to step up their game and function in the societal growth of our environment”.

A Leader is not meant to compel people by force to get things done, You must be meek, Intelligent, calculative and Understanding towards the people you are Presiding. Your followers must respect you for who you are and not because of what they can only benefit from you” Dr Muse Added.

The program at some presented the executive Excos to the entire Participants while also creating an interactive session before the launching of the “WE MANTRA” Brochure & thereafter the Inauguration of the NYCN IMOTA LCDA Directorates.

Dr Abayomi Ojekunle the second guest speaker for the day charged the members and Participants on the Topic: Confronting the likely Challenges of youth development in Post Covid-19 Era.

Stressing the need for youths to be hyper sensitive to the direction of the globe as Technological Applications has taken over the Execution of Different activities and engagement.

“Our youths is now receiving a Clarion call to service and we need all hands on deck so as to accomplish the enormous tasks ahead.

Covid-19 took us by surprise this is why we must always stay at alert in responding to the different Challenges of life. Let’s not be cast down by reasons of economic decline and bad governance, Let’s begin to stand up and make ends meet” Dr Abayomi Added.

The Coordinator Comrade Folarin Adegboyega Awal in closing Appreciated all participants, Stakeholders and guests that graced the program stating that the best is yet to come, Considering their 100 days in office scorecard that will be made know to the public the day after.

“While congratulating all the executive cabinet of NYCN Imota LCDA Local Branch, we want to use this medium to appreciate all and sundry for the love and support as we continue to work towards achieving the set objectives in our action plan and developmental agenda”. Comrade Folarin Added
