COVID-19: FIRST LADY OF LAGOS STATE COMMISSIONS ISOLATION BAY ~ INN Nigeria

Today, Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu represented Mr Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the formal commissioning of Isolation Bay for confirmed COVID19 cases located within the premises of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

This purpose built 20 bed facility, has a provision for 4 intensive care units with high-tech medical equipment that will provide specialized services to confirmed patients and allow for LASUTH to treat not just COVID-19 cases but other forms of contagious diseases.

As Lagos continues to be the epic centre of the pandemic in Nigeria, it is important to emphasize that now is not the time for us to rest on our oars. Rather, it is a time to remain conscious of the pandemic and to continue to intensify efforts at flattening the curve.

While the Lagos State Government continues with the positive-yielding efforts to manage the pandemic, residents must not relent in observing all the COVID-19 guidelines and protocols.
