Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) is an organisation for all Nigerian states and related Chambers of Commerce of Nigeria. NACCIMA is an organisation whose goal is to further the interests of businesses in the country.

Mrs Akande Igbekele Stella is the Lagos State coordinator, NACCIMA business women group (NAWORG), a forum that spurs both small and large-scale business women across Nigeria to new levels.

From encouraging women in Agriculture & made-in Nigeria products for economic growth, free breast and cervical cancer screening health awareness programs to the Nigerian International women entrepreneur exhibition (NIWEX) 2022, the outlet is amassing a filled year to foster advancement.

Ikorodu News Network (INN) had a sit-down chat with the top-notch official to ascertain the goals, objectives and projection of the women-oriented initiative.

“Before I begin I’ll like to cheer the constructive actions of the Lagos State government through the Ministry Of Commerce Industry and Cooperatives because they’ve created a strategic contour that has allowed us sprouted in entrusting women”.

“With their partnership, we birthed NIWEX, which is Nigerian International women entrepreneur exhibition, scheduled to hold from 20th till 23rd of October 2022, expected to host all NAWORG members from across the 36 States in Nigeria”.

“It is designed for business women to register for free and have access to our vendors, showcasing their numerous products for better networking and sales”.

“Hon. Lola Akande, Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and cooperatives has given us the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa for free to execute this event stretching 3 days”.

“The essence of this program is to draw women together to speak with one voice, collaborate and prosper themselves professionally and business-wise. Please note that this program is organised by NACCIMA business women group (NAWORG)”.

Mrs Stella Akande further stated that NAWORG is open for all businesswomen to register and become full-time members, asserting that membership attracts loans, grants and activities that will uplift their various entities.

“(Women) Enlisting themselves will allow them to maintain access to the entire package delivered by the chamber, so even though the exhibition is free, becoming a member of NAWORG is key”.

“Aside from the business-oriented exhibition we organise, we also project health awareness program like the one we’re having on the 1st of September 2022, it’s a free breast and cervical cancer screening for women” Mrs Stella Akande expanded.

Targeting the young minds, Mrs Stella added that NACCIMA youth entrepreneurs, a faction of the chamber also provide ICT training for upcoming business owners, subsequently giving them access to loans and grants as start-up capital.
