Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria, November 11, 2024 – The Itunpate Community Development Association (CDA) in Ikorodu honoured Hon. Wasiu Adesina, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, for his dedication to community development.
Hon. Adesina officially flagged off a vital two-sided drainage system project on Dada Street in the Itunpate Community, aimed at improving road accessibility and enhancing safety in the area.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of a custom portrait of Hon. Adesina, gifted by the Itunpate CDA as a token of appreciation for his commitment to local infrastructure.
The CDA Chairman, Comrade Abolade Arogunre, presented the portrait on behalf of the CDA executive members, who were also present to show their support and gratitude.
“Words can not fully express our gratitude to Hon. Adesina for his unwavering support in making this road accessible for our community,” stated Comrade Arogunre during the presentation.
He emphasized how this project would transform the neighbourhood by reducing flooding risks, enhancing mobility, and improving quality of life for residents.
Hon. Adesina, visibly moved by the recognition, reaffirmed his dedication to community development and added that he has a special surprise for the CDA beyond the project’s execution.
“This road holds a significant place in our community’s history and truly deserves this upgrade. I am committed to ensuring it meets the needs of our residents and promotes safe passage for everyone,”
