The Oyetty Foundation has recorded significant progress in its long-term empowerment intervention for a family in Ilesha, Osun State, as the organization moves toward completing a residential building project for Mrs. Oginni Olabisi and her son, Master Isiah Oginni, a child living with autism.
The development follows an earlier intervention in 2025 when Mrs. Oginni received business startup equipment from the Foundation to support her economic empowerment.
During that engagement, she reportedly presented her unfinished property—a structure at the foundation stage—and appealed for further assistance to help complete the building.
Responding to that appeal, the Foundation commenced construction work on the property in February 2026.
As of April 2026, the project has reached the roofing stage, marking a major milestone toward completion.
According to Lion Isola Oladimeji, who is overseeing the project on behalf of the Foundation, the construction is now in its final phase and will soon be delivered to the family.
He noted that the intervention represents a holistic approach to empowerment, combining economic support with improved living conditions.
“The project is very close to completion, and it is designed to further strengthen the stability of the family.”
“Beyond business support, providing a decent and secure home is part of ensuring long-term wellbeing,” he stated.
Lion Isola Oladimeji, who marked his birthday on April 27, 2026, described the progress of the project as personally significant, noting that the timing added emotional value to the work being done.
He also recognized the contribution of the Foundation’s leadership, including co-founder Mr. Olusegun Akande, in the successful continuation of the project.
He further noted that, interestingly, Mr. Akande is also celebrating his birthday on the same day.
In a gesture of celebration tied to the day’s activities, he hosted Master Isiah Oginni to a special treat at a restaurant, describing it as part of a broader effort to bring joy to the child beyond material support.
He further revealed that the project carried additional meaning due to the proximity of another milestone within the Foundation, noting that April 26 marked the birthday of the Founder, Mrs. Oyetola Akande, making the period a particularly symbolic one for the organization.
The housing project is expected to significantly improve the living conditions of the beneficiary family and strengthen the Foundation’s broader mission of supporting parents raising children with special needs through sustainable and life-changing interventions.
