Residents of Oluwalogbon Kajola Agiliti Community Development Association (CDA) in Agiliti, under Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have commended the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for the delivery and installation of a brand-new electricity transformer aimed at improving power supply in the area.

The transformer, which was delivered on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, is expected to significantly enhance electricity distribution and support socio-economic activities within the community.

Speaking on behalf of residents, the CDA Leader, Chief Emmanuel Oshobanjo, expressed profound appreciation to the Lagos State Government for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention.

He noted that the provision of the transformer would go a long way in alleviating longstanding electricity challenges faced by the community.

Also lending his voice, Pastor Dr. Olu Arikawe of Gbamgboye Street and a respected elder in the area, lauded Governor Sanwo-Olu for his continued commitment to grassroots development.

He specifically acknowledged the role of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, for facilitating the successful delivery of the transformer.

In his remarks, Dr. Agbaje reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s commitment to bridging infrastructural gaps at the grassroots level.

He stated that the provision of the transformer aligns with the administration’s rural development agenda, which prioritizes access to essential amenities such as electricity, roads, and water supply.

He emphasized that the government, under Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, remains focused on improving the quality of life for residents across all communities, noting that no area would be left behind in the ongoing drive for inclusive development.

Dr. Agbaje further urged residents to take collective responsibility for safeguarding the transformer against vandalism and to ensure its proper use for the benefit of all.

According to him, the intervention reflects the government’s responsiveness to the needs of the people, adding that residents are now “enjoying the dividends of democracy” through improved infrastructure and public service delivery.

The event also had in attendance notable community stakeholders, including Chief Oyelakin, Chief Taiwo (Treasurer), and Pa Anthony Odunbona, who collectively applauded the state government’s effort and reaffirmed their support for initiatives that promote community development.
