
Residents of Holy Land Community in Apapa Local Government Area of Lagos State have expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, following the delivery and installation of a brand-new electricity transformer in the community.
Speaking on behalf of the youths and CDA taskforce of the community, Adeleke Sheriff, the Youth Leader of Holy Land Community, described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that the transformer installation has brought relief to residents who had experienced prolonged electricity challenges.
Sheriff praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to grassroots development and infrastructural improvement across Lagos State, especially in underserved communities.
He also lauded Dr. Agbaje for facilitating the project and ensuring that the needs of the people were given prompt attention.
According to him, the newly installed transformer will significantly improve power supply within the community, boost economic activities, and enhance the living conditions of residents.
“We sincerely appreciate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje for listening to the cries of the people and responding positively. This transformer project has restored hope to many families and business owners in our community,” Sheriff stated.
He further assured the government that the community would continue to support developmental initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents and promoting sustainable growth at the grassroots level.
