The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance as he intensified consultations ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Lagos State.
Dr. Hamzat, who emerged as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC, disclosed that he met with Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chairmen, alongside party leaders across the state, to strengthen discussions on the future of Lagos and the party’s collective vision.
Speaking after the meeting, the deputy governor emphasized the importance of leadership that remains connected to the people and responsive to their needs.
According to him, the APC leadership in Lagos shares a common belief that the state must continue progressing through purposeful governance that listens and delivers meaningful development to residents.
“Our strength has always come from staying connected to the grassroots and understanding the everyday realities of Lagosians,” Hamzat stated.
He further noted that the journey ahead is centered on service, trust, and equitable development across all councils in the state.
“As I always say, the journey ahead is about service, trust, and building a Lagos where every LGA and LCDA has a fair opportunity to grow and succeed,” he added.
