
Residents of Atunra Peace Community Development Association (CDA) in Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the successful completion of a water supply project that is currently providing potable water to members of the community.
The water project is being executed under the sponsorship of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, through the Office of Rural Development.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of Atunra Peace CDA, the Woman Leader of the association, Mrs. Latifat Tinuola Balogun, expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for its commitment to grassroots development through the provision of essential infrastructure.
Mrs. Balogun noted that the completed water project has significantly improved access to clean water for residents, describing it as a vital intervention that has enhanced the living conditions of people within the community.
She further applauded the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu for its dedication to improving the welfare of citizens across the state, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
The community leader also commended Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, for his role in ensuring the effective execution and successful completion of the project.
According to her, Dr. Agbaje’s commitment to rural development initiatives has continued to bring meaningful and sustainable improvements to communities across Lagos State.
In his remarks, Dr. Agbaje urged residents of Atunra Peace CDA to take ownership of the water facility by protecting and maintaining it to ensure its long-term sustainability and continuous service to the community.
He emphasized that community participation and proper maintenance are critical to preserving public infrastructure and maximizing the benefits of government interventions.
The completed water supply project is part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to improve access to basic amenities and promote sustainable development at the grassroots level.
