On the 29th of July 2021, Oriwu senior model college, the premier college in Ikorodu Division district 11 bagged 6 awards from the lagos state ministry of education.

The awards include best school in the entire education district 11 (which includes Somolu, Kosofe and Ikorodu).

The Principal of Oriwu Senior model college, Mr Akeem Bello in receiving the prestigious awards appreciated the Lagos state government’s ministry of education for creating a conducive educational platform for the school to thrive and deliver itself as the best among the rest.
